St. Louis, MO - St. Louis Mosaic Project is pleased to announce that Dr. Sneha Rajan is the first Mosaic Project Indian Outreach Consultant. In the St. Louis region, people born in India represent the largest foreign-born community by country of origin. Her part-time role positions St. Louis proactively to support and grow the Indian community. A committee of influential members of the Indian community collaborated with the St. Louis Mosaic Project to develop ideas that will enhance the growth of the community. There will also be programs to invite the general community to learn more about the culture of the growing Indian population in St. Louis.
Dr. Rajan was born in India. She grew up in South India (Kerala) and spent over half a decade in North India for education and work. She is a researcher and an academic with experience working at some of the world’s leading think tanks and universities. She has worked in Asia, Europe, and North America. Dr. Rajan has a Ph.D. (International Relations & Government Affairs) and MA (International Relations) from Durham University (England, UK). She has an undergraduate degree in Law (B.A. LLB) with expertise in Government Affairs, International Relations, US Foreign Policy, and Middle East Studies.
Dr. Rajan and her young family moved to St. Louis in June 2021. Since arriving in St. Louis, she has worked with several organizations to promote community development, including St. Louis Community College, Lindbergh School District, and Junior Achievement USA.
