(From County Executive Sam Page's Weekly Newsletter, 9/17/23)
**‘Welcoming Week’: Dr. Page was proud to deliver a proclamation recognizing Welcoming Week for our St. Louis County immigrant community. The County Executive presented the honor last week alongside the St. Louis Mosaic Project and some of our region's foreign-born leaders.
Mosaic Project's goal is to transform St. Louis into the fastest growing major metropolitan area for immigration by 2025, to design and support regional attraction strategies and to promote regional prosperity through immigration and innovation.
Welcoming Week featured multicultural events around the region, including picnics, arts and crafts displays, resource expositions, speakers events, and bazaars.
Dr. Page noted, "By working together with our foreign-born residents, we can achieve greater prosperity and make our community the kind of place where diverse people from around the world feel valued and want to put down roots."
