Professional connector Program

Business Professionals Shaking Hands

St. Louis Mosaic Project's Professional Connector Program is an initiative based on an award-winning program in Halifax, that introduces New American job-seekers (the Connectee) to well-connected and globally-minded St. Louis professionals (the Connector) over one virtual or in-person session to receive job-seeking advice in the Connectee's respective industry.

Click Get Connected below and someone from the Mosaic team will arrange a virtual meeting to learn more about your background and follow-up by introducing you to a St. Louis Professional Connector.

After that initial meeting, the Professional Connector will introduce you to other Connectors for additional information sessions.  Fill out the form today to jump-start your networking!

Welcome to the U.S.A. - You're Hired! was written by Betsy Cohen, the founding executive director of the St. Louis Mosaic Project after years of meeting, talking with and counseling foreign-born job seekers.

Foreign-born job seekers – whether they be international students, relocated persons, immigrants, or refugees – will find their American dream job faster and more confidently after reading this book. Readers will learn the different stages of the American job search process, and how to prepare for each one.

The book includes case studies and contributions by local and national experts, plus many examples and recommendations to make the immigrant job search process smoother.

The book is available on Amazon. More information here.

Interested in becoming a Professional Connector? All it takes is a willingness to help foreign-born job seekers find their way toward meaningful work. Many New Americans arrive here with no knowledge of how to translate their experience and skills to St. Louis companies. By serving as a Connector, you can help demystify the process, introduce them to others in their field and support their journey by encouraging them along their job search. Sign-up to be a Connector below.
